VALUE Assessment Accelerator is a synchronous, hands-on, collaborative course that is tailored to those who are new to using VALUE rubrics. Getting Started (February 10th-14th, 2025; Asynchronous)
In preparation for the live sessions, you will complete some training pieces on your own, asynchronously. This will include videos and readings about the history and methodology of the VALUE rubrics, and thinking about your assessment goals.

The first part will be focused on developing a plan for implementing the use of one or more VALUE rubrics at your institution. At the end of this session, you will:
- Outline your assessment goal(s) and select your sampling method.
- Determine the alignment between a VALUE rubric and an assignment.
- Review example processes for collecting student artifacts and useable student- and course-level data.
Part II (Friday, February 28th, 2025; 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET, Synchronous)
The second part will be focused on understanding your data and using your results in a meaningful way. At the end of this session, you will:
- Identify key information to look at more closely for an assessment summary.

- Detail two ways in which you plan on using your results to provide meaningful insights into student learning.
By the end of this two-part course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to harness the power of the VALUE rubrics to improve assessment practices, understand student learning, and use results to inform future practices.
